Moving children out of their District is a huge hardship for families. Keep these children local. Also, much less of a carbon footprint.

Stability, commitment and follow through are so important for children. Do what is possible to keep the DHOH program right where it is for the children that are there already rooted in.

I personally like not to move this program to the east bay . Our kids learn sign language and they learn lot of things from them.

That would be a tragic loss.

USD needs to stop playing petty politics and ensure that the program stays at Oster and they must come up with a valid explanation why they are taking on DHOH program without asking the community for their input.

As a former school board member in another district, I know you have to make difficult decisions. Please do what is best for these children that need this program. Keep the DHOH program at Oster.

Having worked at the Oster site as a Union School District employee for the past 10 years, I have seen first hand how much the students, staff, and community from both the USD and COE programs at Oster benefit from having the D/HOH programs on site.

For the sake & future of our Deaf children, please continue the SCCOE Deaf program at Oster school. The children deserve to attend a school that is experienced and knowledgeable about Deafness from years of serving them. Oster is a SAFE and nurturing environment that is well known for excellent teachers and proven, successful education. Many Oster students have continued their education by attending major colleges in the U.S.
