Ms. De la O is a substitute teacher that has been teaching the English 9 class, basically all year. Today on May 6, 2016, the LACOE policy 44801, which when summed up, points out that there may not be a long term substitute while there is a readily available teacher on hand. We, the 9th grade class, are almost finished with our freshman year. Switching a teacher this late in the game would only negatively impact our transcripts and high school experience. We would very much like for LACOE to temporarily hire Ms. De La O as a full-time teacher so we can finish this year on a positive note.
