This petition is to show support from the students of grounds to keep Daniel Mullins as a grounds mechanic. We believe that he is a vital part of operations here at grounds and should be made full time.
I have spent a lot of time workig with Daniel, and his laid back personality really helps to alleviate some of the stress on a particularly slow work day, and lighten the mood, and his maintenance on the equipment is a lifesaver since it tends to break.

Daniel is a major asset to the Groundskeeping team. He is extremely well versed in utilizing the riding mowers. As well as his prowess in vehicle and equipment maintenance is highly appreciated considering some of our equipment is faulty. His positive outlook on workdays provides much needed encouragement and motivation.

Danny is the only one who can actually fix the trimmers when they act up. The crew is gonna be lost without him around full time.

Daniel Mullins has repeatedly returned to grounds to work with the crew. He has always been a help when he is needed and he is a dedicated worker. I personally know that Danny will go out of his way to ensure that something is finished and it is done well. Without him on grounds, we will suffer. Daniel is also very important to the regular maintenance and care of our tools, he knows more about the equipment here then multiple full time workers. He has been a dedicated worker that has not given up on this job, attempting to retain his position multiple times. He has made an impact and become an integral part of grounds. If Danny is not able to retain this position, it will be a clear indicator of what Grounds at Berea considers important.

Daniel Mullins is a dedicated worker who as returned time and time again to work a temp Job on grounds. He provides valuable maintenance on small engine equipment that is vital to the Grounds mission. Without Daniel grounds simply does not function as efficiently. Daniel is a man who appreciates the value of working hard and contributes to the College's commitment to quality, community Labor. I do not think that there is a single person on Grounds, or for that matter the entire Facilities department that would say Daniel does not deserve a full-time position.

I'm a first year student and I have gotten to know Daniel during my time here and I feel that he really contributes to everything we do at grounds. He's a very hard worker and he gets tasks done in a very efficient way. I feel we would suffer from the loss of him getting fired. I enjoy working with him and he makes work enjoyable just with his positive attitude toward everything. I vote to keep him here. Grounds is like a family and no one wants to lose a part of there family.

Daniel Mullins is a great man and has been a big part in making my time on grounds a pleasant experience. He has demonstrated his work ethic not only to me, but to everyone who has had the pleasure of working close with him. Just like the student body Daniel is looking to better himself and others everyday. He lives by the Berea motto and has made it obvious that he is a friend dedicated to ensuring that ALL students have the knowledge needed to be successful while working for the grounds department. He has helped me on multiple occasions and for that I, Chase Gibson, am thankful. I can only hope that the full time faculty will back the students in this matter, and if not then it will be apparent to me that the students' opinion is not a real concern, despite the Berea administration that implores all students for their input, example IEQ's, when grading our professors. I will conclude with this for whom it is relevant, if I ,as a Berea student, can study under compassionate and intelligent men/women, then I should be allowed the opportunity to work for them as well.
Sincerely,
Chase Gibson
