Croll's Pizza is being kicked out of its location near Webster and Central so that the 1400 Bar and Grill can expand, and possibly attempt to open a competing pizza restaurant. Croll's has been an Alameda institution continuously since 1955.
As of now, Croll's has not been able to find a new home, though not from a lack of trying or attractive rental terms offered. We would love to see a partnership with one of the bars or breweries on the island, if not another dedicated spot from which to serve delicious homemade pizza and craft beers.
We, the undersigned, would be very excited if Croll's could open its doors in a new location. If not in its own spot, perhaps another business could offer its customers a reliable, delicious food option (kind of like Rock Wall Winery does for its customers). Let's keep Croll's Pizza alive!

I have been reading through your stories about Croll's and it is clear this place means so much more to the community than just pizza. I am still searching for potential partners who might want to host them and I am genuinely humbled that so many of you are sticking with me through this.

I truly never imagined that so many of you would care this deeply about saving a local staple. This momentum belongs entirely to the community that keeps showing up to defend what makes our neighborhood home.

Croll's is an icon and a staple. We need to stand for family owned and operated businesses!
Crolls is a huge part of my families memory's of Friday night out on the town. If we push Crolls out, who's next. Alameda lives and supports these types of family businesses so let's make our choice be heard!
We need Croll's in Alameda!
It's the only place without TV's, which some of us like. What a bummer!
