Calling all residents of Le Sueur! The City of Le Sueur is planning to move forward with the opening of Coventry road to Highway 112 despite our previous petition, thoughts, concerns, and valid arguable facts. I personally have made a lot of phone calls during my fact finding process. The most impact I have had fact finding, was speaking to MNDOT and being told that the engineer for MNDOT in 1997 found that this specific intersection did not meet standards and should remain closed. The engineer for MNDOT had suggested a line of sight minimum of 600 feet. Bolton and Menk have stated that they will be removing 1.9 feet from the hill side, however it is still unclear what the "new" line of sight would be after that happens. I am asking our community to help speak up and voice your concerns with this project! The open house is on October 10, 2019 from 4-6 pm and the next city council meeting is on 10/14/2019. So please let's gather as many signatures before Monday nights meeting!! Thank you and if you can join us for either meeting please do so!

My concern is that with my loaded trucks rolling north bound on 112... Will they have enough braking time if a vehicle pulls out in front of them in adverse weather conditions???
This would create hazard for children, as well as traffic accident potential pulling in or out of traffic on 112 My .02
Feels like a no brainer to me if it keeps people safer from all angles, it should stay closed, in my opinion.
Please do not open up Coventry Road.
It might help to list our city councilmen so we could call them, though I’m not sure the’d be in the phone book. Just checked, and you can google a list of their names, but there weren’t any phone numbers.
Seems like a simple choice, Safety first! Keep it closed!
