Its a great school and i graduted there and made wonderful friends, awesome staff just all in all a wonderful school it deserves to stay open

I don't feel that the school board is giving Cordia enough time to get the repairs completed. In honor of my son, SPC, Slone, Gary LeeAlan, I donated an electric drop down flag in 2009 so the school and basketball team would have an official flag for the National Anthem. I wouldn't want it to be displayed in any other school in Knott County except Cordia. I believe God will continue to bring the families together in support of keeping the school open. I went to high school there. We had some of the best teachers and the best of friends.

I went to this school for 5yrs and my husband went his whole entire time there. Alice helps many in many different ways from food, clothing, Christmas, college, ASAP helping the community who needs it and can't fix their homes. This is a small school but everyone is close like family for the most part. I think they're just doing this because of the ball team myself. They got rid of Roderick Rhodes now they closing the school. But they've been trying to close the school for yrs which isn't right to the students to be forced to have to go to these other schools. Which im sure if Cordia is the most recent school built 9yrs ago and the ceiling only collapsed due to the contractor not following the blue print. That the other schools im sure have stuff wrong with them as well. They dont need tto be just knit picking at one school!! Seem's a bit out of place there if you ask me!!!

I went to high school here, and to say it was the best 4 years of my life.. not only need we have the best teachers but they were also our friends and someone we could go to. Alice has always made sure that the students of cordia went to college or whatever they decided to do let’s keep cordia open

There is nothing wrong with cordial school. The roof may have caved in but that can easily be fixed. I feel no danger in the building.
