Cordia school is the core of this community. Many generations of my family have attended school here. My granddaughter graduated Kindergarten this last week. I would love to see her graduate high school from Cordia

I graduated from Cordia in 1980. In my class there are 2 nurses, a pharmacist, a school teacher and others that went on to further their education. Cordia has seen many of their students go on to be successful in education and in the work field. They have been strong in their communities. The people are proud of our school and the accomplishments. We are proud of our heritage. Now the other part. Cordia lies maybe a mile or two miles at the most from the Perry County line. If Cordia closes its doors then the kids there will have to be bussed for about 2 hours each way from Hindman to Lotts Creek. If anything, think of the inconvenience it would pose on those kids. Some kids will be close to 6:00 in the evening getting home.

I played ball against this school when I was in high school at riverside Christian academy it would b a shame to not b here.
