We can't afford to open up this quickly. We are still getting cases in this County and just heard a 9th person from Shutter Creek is positive and they are a worker there. They are now out in the population. Please do the right thing and postpone this decision. Many of our tourists come from CA and WA who are still having high numbers of confirmed cases. Why would you put us all in the County in jeopardy??

Covid-19 is just starting to emerge as a result of 9 cases this past week from Shutter Creek prison in Coos County. We cannot afford to bring travelers in to continue the spread of this virus and to shop in our two markets and make our meager supplies dwindle even more.

To early to open especially to tourist,would prefer to open to locals at first so they feel safer to come out and shop. Please consider how we feel, we have been couped up and need to breath a little at first. I am a shop owner in Old Town Bandon, Oregon store name D'Lyn's

Remember the lessons from 1918. Those communities with the best social distancing recovered best economically. Those that didn't suffered catastrophic surges in death after opening too early.

I do not think we should try to project a date to reopen. We need solid medical evidence on which to base any decisions.

I understand the impetus, as I work in the hospitality industry. Financially, this is so hard but I have to consider my family's health (we are all high risk for complications for one reason or another. Please consider that so much of our population is high risk for complications (heart disease, diabetes, elderly (over 60), asthmatic, pneumonia prone, or otherwise immuno-compromised. Thank you so much for your thoughtful consideration in representing our community.
