Keep the name and statue. If we keep removing everything no one will know history. Good and bad exists in the World this is how we learn from history.

Class of 1960-What would the world be like if not for the courage and vision of the great explorer Columbus! Many great men in our history, who we still honor, did things then, which are no longer done, as we have progressed in time.

There is no reason to change the name. It would take away from how many decades worth of alumni & staff history & memories. If this nonsense was thought up by someone that isn't Catholic, mind your business & worry about something else more significant. If it was suggested by someone that is sending their non-Catholic child to school there, pick a different school? Simple as that.

Class of ‘98 Proud Graduate of Columbus Catholic Schools! Honor the Knights of Columbus who made the school possible many years ago. They invested lots of time, effort and money and deserve to have their organization named in our school. They are present at commencement every year for that very reason, they are an integral part of it.

Tradition. I debated this over and over. I read the history of the schools name. This whole thing is going too far and I believe our young people do not understand all this change...all this debate is so uneccesary. Some things need to change but no harm in continuing a name that causes no harm.
