There are some things more important in this life than sports, and that is a man who is willing to take young boys and prepare them for the horrors of society. By molding those boys into men, that reaps a far greater harvest than any outcome on a field.

I coached football for 25 years. Greg Thomas is hands down the best man and football coach I have ever had the privilege to meet. A man of faith and Devotion and knowledge. Having this man as your coach is a privilege and an honor. I was in the coaching office one day talking with him when one of our players came in with eyes full of tears. This young man lived with his grandmother that was in her 80s. He explained that he had checked on her during the night and he found her not breathing. Through his tears he said that he began to pump her chest and run outside between the compressions and screamed for help. He had no phone nor was there one in the home. He said, she died coach, no one responded to help, and now I am alone, I have no family. Coach put his arm around him and said, yes you do, we are family and we will get through this together. And I can tell you that he did see that kid through and made sure he was cared for personally and with an extended family that helped him for years to come. That young man also had opportunities to extend his football Career after high school with the help of coach Thomas.

First of all this is an embarrassment that such a great mans character is being questioned! I coached with Coach Thomas at two different schools and he is one of the most respected men in both of those communities still to this day. Choctaw needs to stand up and support the man that has sacrificed over 30 years of service to the young men of the community!

Greg Thomas is a man of God and character. You couldn't ask for a better role model for the young kids to look up to. I have seen how he treats his students and I wish my 17 year old son had a coach like him that teaches not only football, but values , respect and best of all, teaches them how to be a good man.

As a former player and assistant coach under Coach Thomas I can not think of a better son, brother, husband and father to help develop better sons, brothers, husbands, fathers and men!! Kids today need influencers like Coach Thomas! God Bless.

Coach Thomas is one of the greatest coaches to ever live! For someone to think otherwise, you must not know him or what he does for his players. He is dedicated, persistent and determined. If a kid isn’t getting playing time...you must work harder. A coach that disciplines and pushes players to their limits creates a successful athlete. Playing time is not handed to anybody, but to the ones who bust their butts off and prove themselves. Coach Thomas has an eye for talent, which has been shown in many successful games, and you earn your spot for any sport or position in life. For those of you who created a petition to get rid of a coach that dedicates his life to this program, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Try coaching during a pandemic, with injured players and inexperienced athletes. If you can’t take the heat, try golf

Greg Thomas is a man of God and character. You couldn't ask for a better role model for those young kids to look up to. Not to mention he is one of the best football coaches and teachers of the game that there is around hands down. Greg Thomas is the right guy to have run any football program period.

Coach Thomas is an incredible Coach with a HISTORY of success!!! Choctaw is LUCKY to have him, and it blows my mind that anyone would even CONSIDER trying to get rid of him. HORRIBLE idea!
