The arts are important. How long are they going to have to fight this fight?

choir and drama club were my favorite parts of CCHS. without them, I dont know if i would have made friends. that's where I found my people and got to do what I love. I'm sad to see Suddarth go, but that doesn't mean choir has to go too. someone needs to step up and get some funding for this course.

As The director of choirs at North Harrison, I would be saddened to see the loss of a choral program in any of our county schools. Please keep choral music a part of the curriculum at CCHS.

Choir was one of the best things for me in high school, show choir was also a way to be with my family a lot more

The choir at CCHS helped shape me as a person. To take away the choir not only deprives students of a creative outlet, but also removes opportunities to shape character.

We need to keep the arts in our schools! These programs help students who don't like sports find a group where they can fit in!

I do not think that the school board understands how vital extracurricular activities are for a student's academic success. More funding goes into sports programs. I understand how important they are since I have been on both sides of the fence, but South Harrison Schools and many others have failed to recognize this. Being in the choir helped me to develop my singing voice and helped open up a window of opportunity for me to receive higher education when I wanted to pursue music as a career choice. Now the school board wants to deprive others of receiving the same opportunities that I had. We cannot allow this to happen. Please sign the petition! Even if this does not directly affect you, it affects others who want to showcase their talent in singing.

Loved Choir! This would be horrible to lose. Choir helped me build confidence in myself.

The world needs more than just accountants and engineers. Don't take the simple joys away from children who deal with more than you know.

Choir was and still is a huge part of my life. I cannot imagine future Corydon students not having the same opportunities that I had while going there. Please keep the choir program.

This program gave me the tools and strength to become the accomplished musician and choir director I am today. Without it I would not be able to live my dreams of working with my choir and teaching my own voice students. The loss of this program would only solidify the South Harrison School District as a place that only values test scores and STEM courses. Your students need more than math and science to be well rounded adults.

My son really enjoys choir as it seems to provide a way to relieve stress during the school day and he is very passionate about singing.
