Why would you dismiss the person who is helping SU get back the national recognition they deserve? Is it because he is not a "Yes Man"!! Well that is exactly who needs to be in that position!!

Allow this gentleman an opportunity to continue making the positive and necessary changes that Southern University needs to move forward; and become most progressive.

SU System President R. Mason, agreed to keep Chancellor Llorens, with the stipulation that Llorens work with the system office to assess how the B.R campus is being run & to help the president come up with a plan to make necessary financial and organizational changes. Needless to say, the board rejected Mason’s plan.
Chancellor Llorens would not agree to the terms the system president laid out. The terms would strip him of his power, essentially giving the system office more authority to handle the day-to-day operations in running the campus. The president’s recommendation “would give him the authority to come to campus, meet with staff and make decisions. That's called playing Politics just to keep a Position!
“As president, you have the authority to HELP come up with solutions.”
SU was placed on probation in Dec. 2012 for what was described as insufficient data reporting that said SU was in compliance with different academic standards. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on College lifted the probation June 2013 after the university provided the CORRECT & necessary paperwork.
This is a cost-cutting process/ Once again! It's not about how good you are/ how passionate you are/ the changes or improvements you make along the way! It's about this sad lack of morals that prevail in society when it comes to a dollar! #support #ChancellorLlorens!
