SU will sabotage itself any chance it gets. Stop using politics to drive SU into the ground. We love Llorens and he loves SU. Let's nurture that relationship, not destroy it.

I think every student feel like him and is wife are their parents away from home. There have never been a time where I stopped to chat or take a picture with him and he turned me down. He and his wife always have treated me like family not just a student or a number.

Dr. Llorens is making brilliant changes to Southern University. Changes that the Board of Supervisors would never be able to. Keep Dr. Llorens!

Dr. Llorens has been more than a Chancellor to many of us. He's never let us down and we can't let him down. Let's support him by signing this petition and keeping him as our beloved Chancellor.

Dr. Loren's was a prior professor and thereafter chair of my department. I have always found him to be a good and fair man who puts the interest of the student first. SU enough with the nepotism and politics. That is why we continue to be plagued with problems at HBCU colleges and have poor alumni support because students leave remembering how you handled things at times like these. Shame on you administrators.

It took Llorens to change SU for the better. Maybe it's the board who keeps SU in the trenches.

Let's get is together "leaders". When something is going great why change it. We need to look at maybe replacing some of the board--starting with the president. Chancellor Llorens has done excellent things at SU. He is always present at event. He's not the type to sit behind the desk and give orders. He is an active leader. Sorry we can't say the same for some of the other members of the board.

This is total bs! How can they expect Dr. Llorens to clean up that corrupt and disgusting campus in the allowed short time frame? Every time SU get their hands on something or someone GREAT, they ruin it! This was all a setup and plan from day one with Brandon Dumas’s hire date. Get Dumas in and his dad along with Tony Clayton [corrupt board members] can continue to manipulate the top of the chain. I want to see what make Brandon qualified, except for the “doctorate” degree, for this position if the invitation is extended. Finally SU has gotten someone who can make a decision and stand by it. Dr. Llorens decisions are decisions that benefit the majority. He’s a campus, community, faculty and staff, AND student body friendly gentlemen. Ronald Mason is nothing except for bad news. This man ran Jackson State into the ground with his piss poor attitude and no result goals. When will SU ever learn that the politic game must cease! They should all be working towards one common goal and that should be what’s best for the university. We’ll never compete with our counterparts with such behaviors. Not about how fat I can make pocket. I pray to God for those who think with someone else’s “rear”.

This makes no sense-- not renew the contract of someone that has revived southern, created and reconnected financial relationships to build new programs and reinstate existing ones and has a true connection to the university! C'mon nation lets not go down without a fight!

Chancellor Llorens genuinely cares about Southern University. How many former Chancellors of SU have personally invested/donation ten thousand dollars of their own money into the SU System. This man has been an asset to the SU. We were finally on the right path after 10 years of decline. Many gains have been accomplished on this man's watch. He needs to remain & complete the work he has begun.

As a student here at Southern University , I don't feel that it is right that we were not informed as to why this decision has been made. How do we expect higher growth of our institution when the decision makers are making decisions like this.
