As a Carmel Resident, this is rediculous. Carmel Belle is one of the best things that has happened to the city. Carmel City Officials better start treating them like it!

City of carmel doesn’t want “cheap” counter service. But Carmel Belle is a grandfathered in organic eatery that happens to be a counter service establishment. City of carmel is worried that this will be a slippery slope to McDonald’s moving in or take out debris will be found all over the city. There must be some way to make sure carmel belle is only an exception because of the fact that their original space was grandfathered in and the larger addition was added to add space but also be ada compliant. They shouldn’t have to change their whole business concept because they added space.
