In April 2017, Netflix plans on removing Buffy the Vampire Slayer from the site for online streaming.
I am both heartbroken and devastated by this news, and I know others are as well. As someone in the middle of their fourth rewatch, I can't stand to imagine a life where I can't access the BuffyVerse with the click of a button. Who will warn me of the dangers of online dating by means of evil computer demons? Who will teach me to stay away from frat boys and their cult sacrificing house parties? Where will my fellow lesbians get their dose of WLW romance and man-hating demons?
Don't let Buffy die for the third time. She needs our help. Please sign this petition asking Netflix to reconsider the homophobic act of removing Buffy the Vampire Slayer from their site.

im still reading every single comment and the stories about what this show means to everyone are honestly so touching. i havent heard back from netflix yet but the fact that we are all sticking together on this gives me hope that someone there might actually listen.

seriously stunned by how many of you feel the exact same way about losing buffy. it feels like we are actually building some real momentum here and i am so glad you are all on board.

@Netflix, with YouTube blocking content of lgbt folks at an alarming rate, our rights being threatened on the daily by the current administration, and more and more closeted lgbt kids losing hope, it is so important that they have an outlet, a place to go to, somewhere they can see themselves represented in a role that isn't demeaning of them. Please reconsider removing Buffy from your site. It has become such an amazing icon to the lgbt community and I would hate to see some young queer person lose their chance to see themselves represented because you removed this service. Don't take away our hope. Don't take away our love.
I agree this is homophobic and transphobic bc i'm queer and trans and I like this show. Also please bring back Muder, She Wrote even tho I was the only one watching it. It's really hard to find illegally.

Ok what the actual hell Netflix. Or should I say Suxflix? Keep buffy on or else thats what I'll be calling you.
