I have always supported a block of time like this. It should always be part of every high school.

Bruin block is an integral part of my daughter’s school day. There is little other time where the kids can go in for additional help or study time.

We didn’t have this when I attended Broadneck but I wish we did! I would usually be exhausted after a full day of classes + afterschool clubs. Having a chance to get some of my work done during the school day would’ve been great! My sister (who just graduated) definitely made good use of the Bruin block and I know she appreciated it!

Please keep Bruin Block - this allows my daughter to meet with her teachers and get extra help when needed. I know other schools that have removed this type of block and kids are struggling to meet with teachers and hold club meetings.

Please keep Bruin Block. It is so beneficial to the students. My daughter's middle school developed Marlin Block based on Bruin Block, and it really helped her, particularly when she needed to make up work and meet with her teachers. She will start Broadneck High School next year, and I know that Bruin Block will be invaluable to her as a new high school student and beyond.

Bruin block has been the best program brought in by Mr. Todd. It allows students to participate is ways they couldn’t otherwise, provides social and academic opportunities, and gives students a chance to compete and succeed. I cannot begin to understand how cancelling it would benefit the students in any way!

My daughter benefitted tremendously from being able to go to Mrs. Fischer’s class and bring her grade up from a D to a B.

My son really benefits from Bruin Block and as a BHS alumni, I wish they had had it when I was there.

Bruin block was extremely helpful juggling 2 sports, 4 AP’s and 3 jobs. Taking it away would be insane

I know it is tough to make this work but it really helps students who do multiple activities.

Bruin block helps my grades so much. Without the help from teachers during bruin block and tutoring my grades wouldn’t be as good. Don’t punish the kids who do well and utilize their time well, if kids don’t know how to act then they can be given mandatory places to attend. If this is taken away seniors will be mad.
