Keep BOY in BOY Scouts!

This needs to stay an all boys organization. It is the only thing the boys have left that has not been penetrated by female extremists. The scouts are caving in and making excuses because they are losing menvership.

This is an important issue. The Boy Scouts have no standards now. It was possibly the last free organization for boys.

Why is it OK for girls to have a girls-only organization but not OK for boys to be exclusive? Girl Scouts are for girls. If a boy sought to be a member of Girl Scouts, would that be permitted?

It is important for this to remain a boys only club. There are so few places where a boy can still be a boy.

The issue is important to me. I have been an Eagle scout for my whole life. It is something Im supposed to be proud of but I feel embarrassed to have that now that the boy scouts are accepting girls.

I am an Eagle Scout with several palms earned in the 50's. I so no benefit to Scouting to having girls in the program. If girls want an advanced or more challenging program then the Girl Scouts should be in a position to provide it.

My concern is the continuing erosion of traditional programs for boys just because they do not include girls or other groups within our society. Why is it OK for girls to have a girls-only organization but not OK for boys to be exclusive?

I agree!

Being a Star Scout in my troop and in the Scouting program since my Tiger year in first grade, I am highly disappointed with the BSA for this decision. BOY Scouts is a place for BOYS to be themselves and become successful men in society. Adding girls could distract the males from that purpose. Instead of wasting time fighting for girls to be in the BSA, Girl Scout leaders and parents should be working to make their program better.

The slander to the BSA over gay leaders and trans gener is not something that can be solved with this.

I want to give back to the program but I can’t when I don’t support the decisions they’re making. Boy Scouts is to shape young men and they cheapened their beliefs and sold out their values with this.

I'm feeling that this is a lost cause. It's all about the money. Allowing gay scouts was about the money. Allowing gay leaders was all about the money. This too is all about the money.

I get that the Scouting people are trying to make it fair for boys and girls alike. But, the Girl Scout program is crap and they can JUST SIMPLY IMPROVE IT. There is no need to allow girls in Boys Scouts. It's called Boy Scouts for a reason.
