Residents throughout Connecticut are so highly disappointed in the City of Bridgeport's decision not to renew its contract with the Bridgeport Bluefish. The State of Connecticut needs more family friendly, inexpensive sports teams in our communities to offer a unique and enjoyable experience to its citizens. The Bridgeport Bluefish are a staple of family fun that do not break the bank but also allows families to make all star memories. Our state does not need another concert venue to add to the many we already have, particularly when many of the venues are revolving doors for ambulances transporting underage individuals who are intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances. Please keep the Bluefish and baseball in Bridgeport!

The city is ignoring our concerns about replacing the ballpark with yet another concert venue. Call the mayor office today and tell them you want baseball back in Bridgeport. Post the link to our petition on your Facebook wall to ensure our neighbors know what is at stake.

I'm so sad by this, we've had so many memories there with our kids & plan on many more..... it's a relatively inexpensive but great & fun night out for all, with or without kids..... & what about the scout nights & sleepovers? This is a terrible decision.... how about just doing concerts or other shows only when the team is on the road? This idea is absurd, just absurd!!

What's going on in Connecticut is depressing when it comes to economics. Recreation is an escape to all political problems where we gather with our children friends and family. Our governor Malloy has brought Connecticut to its knees is a disgrace. Why would you take away The Blue Fish baseball out of Bridgeport. Why???
I can't believe they wanna do away with the ballpark!! I grew up going to the games all the time with my parents and siblings!! We have continued the tradition by taking my nephews who enjoy every minute of the games!!! Please don't take that away from the kids!!!
The bluefish ballpark is a place for family, festivities and fun events for all. I grew up going to the ballpark and I can't imagine Bridgeport that same way without it. This will be catastrophic for the children, the families, the players and the sports fans.

What about the concert arena next door? The Bluefish are a permanent year round presence in Bridgeport and a part of the community. To give that away for 29 concerts a year doesn't make sense. You may want to check how you're coming across on internet searches as you're not showing up on a Google search only Bing.
