get facts right. In Lewis the black pudding is made out of sheep blood. In addition there is also white pudding and fruit pudding. thiese names come because of their actual colour. NO OTHER REASON.

Black puddings are food, black people are racist, black puddings is a northern tradition going back century's, no black racist is going to charge that, and what about white puddings are they racist.

Seriously, why is the UK turning into a place where we can't be British? Black pudding can't be renamed as pigs blood pudding as it is no longer made from pigs blood. I'd hate to think what the next thing they think of will be racist.

This is a complete and utter joke and if anything causing an issue out of things as ridiculous as this encourages racism, you don't see white people causing a song and dance over white pudding, white wine, whiteboards, white chocolate and so on! Get a grip and deal with some real issues!

As a BLACK male i find this theory about black pudding being a racist term absolutely ridiculous. Please government just leave it as it is! Concentrate on creating jobs & better opportunities for people.

black puddings been around since way before my time I love it and so do my 4 children so don't take it off the shelf. I don't find it racist.

Don't change anything else that is British history. Black pudding is black, that's the only fact you need to think about!
The only people who will see Black Pudding as racist are those with a racist agenda. When will people grow up? Black is a colour in the spectrum and around before the skin of those who argue it discriminates against. What's next to be banned? Black coffee? White tea? Focus your time and effort on real issues like poverty, rape and murder!
