The Meadows dog park has become dangerously overcrowded in the mornings now that the soccer field is closed and everyone is trying to avoid the heat of the day. Someone or someone’s pet will be injured as a result. Please reopen the soccer field in the interest of safety.

I support the unlocking of the gates to allow use as another dog park. If pooper scoop bags are set up nearby with waste bins perhaps owners will do the responsible thing and clean up after their dogs.

The soccer field is the only fenced area with handicapped access.

Perhaps there could be a day to clean up the soccer field prior to a game so that responsible dog owners could use it when not scheduled for a game?

Please consider the demographics and needs of dog owners in this community who need easily accessible parks for their pets. I believe it is the duty of the POA to represent the largest majority of residents. Perhaps there’s a way to accommodate everyone.

As a Big Canoe full time resident, the abrupt decision to lockdown the multipurpose/soccer field to dog owners was extremely disappointing. It would have been nice if we could have had a civil discussion before the decision was made and work out a plan to fit the needs of all our residents. Can the soccer field be reserved for practices and games and a schedule be posted? I'm sure BC dog owners would be respectful of the schedule and use the park at other designated times. Seems like a win, win for all.

I do not see a reason why the soccer field is Not used when there are not any soccer teams / games being played there.
