My father spent 7 1/2 years at Berks time and he couldn’t have received better care anywhere else in Berks County! I would hate to see that care diminish in anyway, shape, or form. I support keeping bedtime is a county owned and run facility.

As an employee of the Heim, my main concern is the residents care and treatment. They have worked their entire lives to have a place like the Heim to be very well taken care of and affordable.

Keep this a county home! Coming from a personal experience you do not want some corporate greed that would rather see people suffer than lose a buck coming in and taking over!!!

I'm a employee of Berks Heim for over 24 years We by far are the best nursing home in the area We need to not sell the Heim for our residents and our future residents The elderly deserve a safe and caring place to live You can't put a price on a human life Don't sell the Heim

As a county elected Official I have sat in on most Commissioners meetings for the last ten years. I have always praised the care my father received at Berks Heim and stressed how much better it was than what my Great Aunt received at a private home many years ago. I strongly feel the push to privatize Berks Heim is driven by Ideology. The ideology that Government should not be involved in something private business can also do. I think that is wrong, Berks Heim sets a high standard that other homes need to match, without it in County hands care levels will decrease everywhere. We have had some version of Berks Heim since the 1820's If the County wants to eliminate something they have been doing for almost 200 years it should only be done after a referendum of the County residents has clearly said to do so.

We need to keep this first class facility open. With the huge numbers of baby boomers coming of age it is even more important than ever to have a place to care for those that need it. The care is superior here to other places. This is a gem of a facility that sets standards above the norm for care. If privately owned and taken out if the county's management and ownership many people will have no place to go for care and the care of patients and working conditions will greatly deteriorate.

I am a nurse at Berks Heim for 26 years! We give the best care to our residents. The County Home is an heirloom. Our residents will not receive the care they get now if sold, we have seen it too many times! Please reconsider for the love and care for our residents!!!

Look what is going at Cedar Haven in Lebanon Pa due them being privatized. Also don’t sell to stone barn holding that brought cedar haven and they’ve been on strike for 3 month and care has gone down hill since.

Nothing compares to the care at the Heim. The staff is the most caring and compassionate around. One parent at the Heim, the other at a Manor Care. Manor Care left my dad under wet blankets, no bath for a month, ignored a stroke and withheld pain meds for 48 hours. That would never happen at the Heim.

Berks County should not be privatized. Private companies do not provide the quality of care that is provided at Berks Heim.
