We do not want commercial development in our RESIDENTIAL area. This site is NOT suitable for any part of Cobb International Village, or whatever other name Mr McSorley happens to be calling it.

I am against this project. The widening of Bells Ferry is what concerns me most. It is very difficult to make a SAFE left exit from the front entrance due to the heavy volume of traffic, the u-turns to go to the medical offices (especially the u-turns) and people driving 60+ MPH. The same thing is sure to happen when/if Bells Ferry is widened. People are going to be driving much faster than they currently do and it will be nearly impossible to safely make a left turn out of the back entrance. Is installing a traffic light at the back entrance part of the overall plan? I would love to see one installed at the front entrance. Safety would definitely be an issue if children, or anyone for that matter, are walking along Bells Ferry and people are driving as fast as they do on Chastain Road. It's scary to see people walking on Chastain and being only inches away from drivers going 60+ MPH. Also, since there is a pedestrian entrance directly to the school from the subdivision I am concerned that people may be coming into the neighborhood who don't belong here and along with that a higher probability for crime. As someone else said, CL is tucked away in a nice quite area, a commercial development could decrease our property values (have there been any studies done on this??) and it creates an overall negative impact on the surrounding residential area.

We purchased this home October of 2013 because it is tucked away in a nice quite area and I believe that this development will greatly depreciate the value of our homes and definitely have a negative impact on the residential area.

I find it interesting that the title of the development is "Georgia Kids Project LLC" and yet includes a hotel, gas station and other items not associated with children. This area is a residential community and should not be developed with this type of commercial properties. I have a six year old daughter that we walk to school at Chalker Elementary. There is way to much cut through traffic on N Booth Rd already, this is a very bad idea. Already one jogger has been hit and killed on N Booth, how many children will be injured or killed by this??? This is a horrible idea!!!!
