If there is no more Apu because of people wining about it being racist may as well get rid of Homer as well seeing as how I'm a overweight American who drinks beer suppose I should be offended at that but I'm not its a t.v. Show get a life people.

In this day and age everything is deemed offensive, racist or some other form of PC. Apu is NOT a racist stereotype, this is just another attempt from the pathetic PC crowd to complain over nothing. Keep Apu Alive!!!

Apu is a 3 dimensional, lovingly crafted, carefully acted, beautifully constructed celebration of cultural difference AND integration. Cutting him from the show is an offense to sensible minds and celebrations of diversity (which make no mistake, his character absolutely is). What a shameful display which led to this place. Save Apu, and defend Hank Azaria & Matt Groening for their work.

I am Indian, and Apu is not racist at all. In fact, he is a noble and positive representation of Indian culture. Allowing some no-talent “comic” to support his floundering “career” by attaching himself to an iconic show, and then caving to his grandstanding, is shameful.

Apu is one of the original characters and he is really iconic. And as an Indian I don't think Apu is offensive, I think is actually funny.

I am half Indian and I seriously DO NOT find this offensive and cannot believe that people are actually trying to get rid of this character, when it clearly IS NOT racist!

I can't believe people want to band a sterotypical character on a show about sterotypes. Especially a character that does massive justice for indians, i mean geez he litterally is so sucessful he has most of springfield's woman after him, the respect of every resident, and a booming small buisness.
