Can remember when we first visited this rink in 1995 / 1996 watching the then Basingstoke Wella Bison.

This rink is used for pleasure as well as sporting activities. Basingstoke is nearing the size of a small city so an ice rink is a fantastic leisure opportunity. Keep it open!

There are few enough rinks in the UK as it is. It closing down would be a loss for not just the local area, but opportunities for future players, skaters of the UK

Do you want to take away the opportunity for members of all ages of the community to skate or spectate this sport? This activity helps us to keep fit & healthy and to feel good about ourselves. Has the council thought that a proportion of the existing ice community will go elsewhere in order to continue to skate and maybe compete?

I know people who use this facility regularly for ice hockey and it should not be allowed to close.

Ice rinks need to be saved they are quickly becoming things of the past. We also need these sorts of things for budding young hockey players something that this country sorely doesn't do

I was going when it opened and worked there for years. It would be too big a loss to the town if it closed.

Probably The most-used leisure facility in the borough. Certainly the home of the most-supported team in the town. Basingstoke needs an ice rink more than it needs designer shops so keep a rink in the town.

Ice hockey is growing all the time but if another ice rink is taken away it restricts kids ability to participate in sport
