Keeping the rink is important not only to the local people, and teams that depend on it, but also the other teams in the region that need a competitive league.

My daughter has lessons at the ice rink and would be really upset if this was replaced with more shops. It’s important for th children to have as many options in life don’t take this away from them!

An ice rink in Hampshire is an absolute must. It has the largest fan base following of any other sport in Basingstoke with a massive youth development program. If nothing else we need to focus on that fact. Let’s give the next generation of Basingstoke something to be proud of.

The rink has been in Basingstoke since I was a teenager enabling us to have fun in a safe environment rather than on the streets. It has become a big part of the community with the Bison Ice Hockey team who wouldn’t exist if the ice rink wasn’t there. My friends daughter is also a promising figure skater however as still school age there is no way she would be able to make early morning practice before school if she had to travel to another town. It’s a big part of Basingstoke, we need it, please don’t further destroy the community for our residents!

Basingstoke need a rink, as the city is a ice hockey supporters city.
