Keep The Petersburg Amtrak Station in Ettrick

Keep it open for the students!!!

Keep the train station and stop in Ettrick.

YOUR PRESIDENT CALLED FOR A CUT IN WASTE. MOVING THE STATION WOULD BE A HUGE MISUSE OF FUNDS WHEN THE CURRENT STATION IS FULLY OPERATIONAL. IF NEEDED, AN UPGRADE WOULD SEEM MUCH MORE REASONABLE THAN BUILDING

It makes no sense to relocate the train station. Virginia State University is a major entity in this community of which many students use this station for transportation. Sure this station needs upgrading, but not a relocation.

I grew up near train station and it was very convenient my parent and me to travel since we had no transportation. This too will be vital to students and others have the same issues. The present location is convenient to other locations that serve the students as well as the community.

requesting the current Ettrick site be kept open and relocate.

Not only is it a historical site, but a source of industry for Ettrick.

Why would it make sense to move the train station away from public transit, and away from a location where it provides important access to the surrounding community?

Please keep the Ettrick Station. Consider the VSU students who use this station to get back and forth on holidays, weekends and breaks. It’s also a part of History our Community!

Keep the Petersburg Amtrak station in Ettrick.

The current Ettrick location is the best location for the station. It is convenient for students and the greater community. Growing this end of the community will help support the growth of the whole area. Keep the station in Ettrick.

I feel that the current station is a definite asset to the Ettrick community. Not only does it serve the needs of tjhe VSU Student population, but it is convenient for the residents of this area, the City of Petersburg, and the military personnel assigned to Fort Lee, VA. It create a definite void in this area if the Ettrick station is moved to another location. Let's keep the Ettrick station where it is presently locaated, and continues to serve a vital need for those who depend on its services. I strongly support KEEPING THE ETTRICK AMTRAC STATION WHERE IT IS PRESENTLY LOCATED AND SERVES A VITAL NEED TO THE CITIZENRY OF THIS AREA.

Ettrick has the space to expand there if needed.

It is my understanding that out of the multiple proposals, the upgrade to the current Ettrick would be the cheapest alternative. That train station is vital to the small community, including the local college, Virginia State University and the recently built multi-purpose center. I have taken trains from that station my whole life and that location is very convenient. Also, I feel the recent upgrades done to River Road will help with the traffic flow to Interstate 95, which is just a few miles away. I hope the station remains at its current location, so the modernization effort provides much needed jobs to the local community.

I use the Ettrick station several times a year and particularly appreciate how accessible it is to VSU students.

Please keep the Petersburg Amtrack station at it's current location. The students at Virginia State University need it desperately and the proposed location is too far away for them.

Please keep the Ettrick Station, it is well used by the local community and seems silly to move it costing the taxpayers unnecessary dollars.

Please keep the train station I travel a few times on the Amtrak and enjoyed thebride and service. I enjoyed the pleasure of looking out of the window and will choose Amtrak over flying or bus. This Amtrak are within minutes from my house and the only one near it.

I pray that this train station stays. This is how I was able to get back and fourth from Alexandria to VSU my freshman year!

Keeping the station in Ettrick is a win-win-win for Amtrak, the area, and the environment.
