The train is a major source of transportation for college students and within a reasonable distance to campus.

KEEP THE PETERSBURG AMTRAK STATION. Amtrak has developed a method to categorize its stations based on annual passenger volume. Petersburg is a category 2-medium station. The largest station is a category 1-large station. 30,000 riders use the the Petersburg Amtrak Station annually and 20 percent of the VSU population use the Petersburg Amtrak annually.

Been there for years, why move it now. Ettrick is the perfect spot for it.

This is a huge needed stop for college students attending VSU and those traveling to other destination from this area.

Keep the station in Ettrick! All of the pertinent reasons are before everyone’s eyes!! It is a key asset in the village and for those traveling to the university!

This location is necessary for students at VSU, and patrons of events at VSU. There is no need to move it; if anything, use funds to improve the station.

My years at VSU Amtrak was my ride home to South Jersey my stop 30th station, and I still ride it. Help build it around the school make it part of our college town.

The train station has been an asset to VSU, Ettrick, and the surrounding area for years. Moving the train station out of this community would have a lasting negative affect on the area’s citizens.

There is no good or logical reason to move this station when it is rebuilt.
