Allow them to open up for 4x4's - it certainly does not hurt anyone... plus it brings money to the area. People will come, eat in restaurants and shop. Do the RIGHT thing - allow it!

I'm moving to Maine from Texas. The concept of townships and come notices having control over the owners use and enjoyment of their land is foreign to me. Private property ownership is sacred. The fact that most land in Maine is encouraged to be public access is to be applauded. As long as there aren't meth labs and the participants respect the neighbors I see a tremendous overreaching of the town's authority. If an owner can genuine income off of his/her tract that should be encouraged not discouraged. Issuing permits and licenses is the government giving citizens permission to exercise their rights. I'm from Topsham, Maine and I find the notion of closing an off road park in a state so recognized for it's outdoors activities to be ludicrous and absurd.

Why not reopen, then charge fees to enter and give portion to the city? I'm from Roseville and we frequently visit That area with our ATVS.

a few friends and myself have been trying to find good places to go mudding and just have fun off roading. a place like this would help greatly towards keeping people from tearing up other trails.
