I support the idea of marking solution as tool assisted with a seperate leaderboard. I think people that use AI just like to join in and we should give them a space to do so.

The goal of AoC should be to test and prove your own abilities, not to take the easy way out and let AI do the work for you and take credit for it.

I agree. AoC should be something to have fun with and compare results, and having AI to solve the puzzles takes all the fun and purpose out of it.

I get that AoC isn't (just) about competing, but it's been disheartening to look at the leaderboards.
It seems that people are using the fact that others are using AI and not getting punished as an excuse to use AI too.
If the organizers are willing to actually delete some of the times that are achieved by AI, my hope is that these people will also stop. (Although there is a chance that they just see it as a challenge to make their solutions look more human)

My partner takes this competition very seriously and is one of the people who is getting bumped down - off the leaderboard - because of AI LLM inputs. Please fix this ASAP.
