The transfer has been officially canceled and Adrian is staying at the recreation center. It has been a long and draining fight but seeing the department finally listen makes the effort feel worth it. We should keep an eye on things move forward to ensure our park remains a priority.

We, like you, are proud members of Elysian Valley. We love the many great attributes that our community has to offer us and our children. As you may know, Adrian Morales has been our local park director at Elysian Valley Recreation Center and has done an amazing job at reuniting the community and it's members within this park. For a long period of time we were given park directors that did not care about our community and were too busy focusing on their own agendas to fully engage the community. When Adrian became the park director he poured his heart and soul into the park and provided a community space that everyone felt safe and comfortable with.

We were recently informed that Adrian will be transferred to a different park and as a community it is our responsibility to petition for this decision to be reconsidered immediately. We refuse for our voices to be unheard! We will not continue to be marginalized and disregarded any longer!

We’re calling on the City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks to reconsider this decision immediately.

Seeing this kind of momentum is exhausting but it reminds me why I started this fight in the first place. People are finally paying attention to how much Adrian has done for this space so we are going to keep pushing until the city listens.

I think Adrian should stay at Elysian Valley he is a great romodel for many people in the neighborhood and is very helpful. He is really responsible and always tries to keep the park clean. I really like how he has bootcamp because for the past years no one has had bootcamp in the park but him and I really think it's unique. I don't think Adrian should leave.

Mr.Morales is an outstanding role model , putting the well being of the community and children first . He works well with other agencies ( animal care , LAPD , LA Dodgers etc...) to improve the park and a better quality of life for those who use it .

As a retired recs and parks employee, I would just like to say how important it is to keep this director at this park...Not only has he done so much to keep the park going, but has built a strong bond with the community, thus bringing them closer together...Also MANY children look up to this gentleman as a mentor and depend on him to keep the park safe for them to enjoy.
