Love the local products, local produce, beef, poultry and seafood. It is one if not only neighborhood grocery store on the eastside. Doubling the lease rate seems unreasonable. Please keep this store in business.

My name is David Huskey and my family has lived in this neighborhood since 1989. We love Red Apple Market and would hate to see it close. Please keep it open! Thank you, David Huskey, M.S.

It’s an outrage that one greedy landlord can negatively impact tens of thousands of area residents by pricing their only local market out of business. For those of us who choose to support small, homegrown businesses like Red Apple Markets instead of big box stores, this is a very harsh blow — and one that will reduce the quality of the food we feed our families by sending us off to Safeway and Fred Meyers, like them or not. This little market has the broadest selection of healthy, non-GMO foods on the Eastside, including organic dairy products and even raw, locally sourced milk. The wonderful experience of being assisted by personable, knowledgeable staff can never be replicated in big, nameless chain superstores. What an enormous loss we’re all facing! Please reconsider this huge rent hike, and give back to the community that supports your real estate ventures by letting Red Apple remain in place at their current rate. The entire Kirkland, Redmond and Bridle Trails neighborhoods will forever thank you.

I'm signing this petition for my 89 year old mother. This market is somewhere that she feels comfortable shopping and is treated like family! She will have no other options to shop if they leave. Please keep it here!!!

For decades this store has provided a wonderful & dare I say, "Intimate" shopping experience to hundreds of families & their guests. A real shame to see it go/vanish. Enough already with people cashing in and bringing coldness to something as fun & exciting as running up the street to the neighborhood grocer. That's just it- the simplicity & warmth of something as dear as The Red Apple is lost. BE THE LEADER. BE THE VOICE. STAND OUT & KEEP THE FRIENDLINESS ALIVE! It's such a special place to shop. It's a CARING place to grab some fresh produce, a potted plant or coffee on a Sunday morning.
