Musicians need to practice whether it is holidays or not. Sometimes, holidays are the only time when we are free enough to really focus on practicing without much distraction. As a music school they should know that!

If we are expected to continue practicing for ensembles and private lessons over the break, we should be offered an appropriate place to do so.

For the amount of money we are paying it should stay open to accommodate students staying who need to practice

It would be so helpful for practicing since many of us don't have an instrument to practice on at home

Music students pay to use the facilities, and for those that don't go home over the holidays, there is often nowhere else to practice. With UofT's huge budget (and with the very small amount of money that it would take to keep this building open), there is no reason that the Faculty of Music should close for two weeks over the holidays.

I essentially don't get to practice for two weeks because my home is not appropriate for playing in. This would be of immense value to me.

90 Wellesley should definitely be kept open over the winter break. Many of us do not have our own practice space where we live because we rely on our school's facilities to provide one.

We pay $9000/year, this building should be left accessible during the break.

It is hugely disappointing that the school closes practice facilities for music students for two weeks. It doesn't make any sense.

We're already paying for under average facilities, we'd better be able to use them.

After investing so much of my time to representing the Faculty in many of their public events, I do believe it would be in the best interest of the Faculty to invest in a location in which I can continue my personal progress which would allow me to continue playing well for them and myself.

It is integral that the musicians of the Faculty of Music be able to continue to hone their skills over the winter break. Many are unable to practice elsewhere and it is grossly unfair to these students that they be left disadvantaged by the institution to which they have invested a considerable amount of money to attend. Respect our need for access and the thousands of tuition dollars we surrender!

I hope to catch up and get ahead with things my teachers have assigned me. It's so valuable to have 90 Wellesley to practice in.
