As many 5ivers will already know, Scott, Sean, Rich and Abz have made a welcome return to our lives as part of the ITV Big Reunion show, forming without J who although initially agreed to the reunion, has decided to opt out of all publicity surrounding the show and any potential reformation of 5ive. It has now been revealed that 5ive will be auditioning for a new 5th member to the group which has created quite a stir with the fans all over social networking sites. Many 5ivers fear that a new band member will change the dynamic, and the style of music that we all know and loved about 5ive. We understand that groups and music needs to change with the times and trends, but we do not want to lose the originality of 5ive. This can still work as a 4piece. Sean brings the soul, Rich brings the rock, Scott brings the love/romance and Abz brings the attitude. J's sudden turnaround marks uncertainty and we honestly believe that once he sees what a success this could be, he will want to be part of it. We feel there is still an opportunity of him doing "a Robbie" and joining once he is given more time to see its success. The Big Reunion gig sold out in under 5 mins, which judging by social networking sites, were nabbed by mostly 5ive fans. We are certain that if 5ive were to announce a Greatist Hits Tour tomorrow, even as a 4piece, it would be similar sell-out. J not wanting to be famous sounds absurd considering he has been seen on multiple tv shows, some of which include Im a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Weakest Link, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, etc. Let's just give him time to come round and show him the door is open for the reformation of the ORIGINAL line-up. This is providing there is room in the band. We don't want different line ups like Atomic Kitten and Sugababes had. It just doesn't feel the same. There comes a time when the band and management need to listen to the fans as we are the people who can only make this a success. This petition has been started to show to Scott, Sean, Rich and Abz... and more importantly Chris Herbert, that the fans who have signed this petition are opposing the recruitment of a new band member.
