We as student athletes and coaches strongly feel it is important to maintain our 4:00PM-6:00PM time slots free from ANY school/academic obligations (I.E. Office hours, Lab, Mandatory Study Sessions etc.) In support of our Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), I request and hope that you will understand how vital this specified time slot for our student-athletes is in that it affords this large sector of our student body to have the opportunity to practice their sport and engage as a team working towardthe highest performance standards representing The University of Redlands. The erosion of the 4:00PM-6:00 PM student-activity time is diminishing our university's and team's ability to compete, which in turn, diminishes the student-athlete's positive experience. If you are not a student athlete, then you will understand how important this time slot is for you as an individual to seek the pleasures to wish to fulfill and to explore other extracurricular activities and personal growth opportunities. **Note: This is not a stance against the prestigious academic institute, but rather a reminder that the hours between 4:00PM-6:00Pm are reserved for student activities** Thank you for your support and making the Student Athlete and Student experience a positive a well rounded one. Maintaining a balance in our student body schedules to excel inside of the formal classroom environment offers the optimal educational environment and opportunities.

The athletic program is a huge part of why i chose this school. stop trying to ruin our practice times with mandatory study blocks. let us actually be students.
