Mr. Williams’ statements are his to make. There is nothing illegal about his statements. His statement does, however call into question the judgment and clarity this man has to bring to his important position as a city councilor. Not only is he celebrating the death of a fellow human being for having differing views, he is doing so in an open and public forum. This is not the type of judgment and discretion I would expect from someone in governance.
