Kawasaki is Japanese. That fact is indisputable. But in 60 short games, he's on the fast track to full Canadian citizenship. His prowess on the field and his antics off the field are dwarfed only by his great love for Canada. He is often seen belting out the Canadian National anthem during on field ceremonies, and in this video he not only declares his allegiance to Canada, he proceeds to lead a passionate rendition of Oh Canada, all the while signing autographs for fans:

Truly an inspiration to us all. It now appears that Munenori Kawasaki will be with the Blue Jays on Canada Day and it only seems fitting that he lead the Rogers Centre in what shall go down in history as the loudest, most boisterous, most Canadian, most passionate, most amazing Canada Day national anthem ever. Please sign this petition so the Blue Jays organization knows the support Kawasaki has as a Blue Jay and an honorary Canadian citizen.
