What the Flyers did is a disgrace. It was the epitome of cowardice. Kate Smith was a great American and should be duly honored. Thank God there are still people like the mayor of Wildwood among us.

As a former Spectrum / Flyers employee who heard Kate Smith sing this song live at many Flyer games, it is important to keep her memory alive and provide a public venue for her memory. Since I lived in Wildwood for many years, I find it an honor to have the Kate Smith statue brought to that location and I'm proud of Wildwoods mayor in being willing to do this for our veterans. Shame on the people who decided to initiate the actions which led to the banning of Kate Smith's future legacy with the Flyers.
