Always draws a decent crowd in, therefore feels a hundred times safer than venues on Prince of Wales Road, no matter what time of night. Really surprised that this is being suggested. Surely it is better to have a later closing club to stagger the crowds coming out of places at closing time?

Further to what others have undoubtedly put better, the late license isn't the issue here. Ordinary revellers don't turn into aggressive drunken morons just because it's quarter past 3 not quarter to 3. It seems like it would be easier for the police if Kartel closed earlier as then the whole of Norwich my town centres nighttime economy can be wrapped up at give the police officers on duty that night a break. As someone with experience policing a nighttime economy I can assure you that break is what's on the vast majority of officers minds upon starting their shift. This smacks more of lazy policing and over simplistic legislating than an actual public safety concern.

A safe and reliable atmosphere for a good time. Never a troublesome spot unlike prince of Wales where deaths have occurred and yet it remains in full swing. It appears that the local police force have bruised egos and there method of justice is to piss of the local good norwich folk who want a good time. Oh a policeman got a broken leg? ...isn't that what police do? Protecting good citizens!? Rant over #shinpads

i have been going to POW for nearly 3 years now and i can say its defiantly the safest club I've been to. I was there to witness the massive brawl outside MOJOs and this supposed night has not even a hope of sratching that
