Small boutique fitness studios should not be classified like the big fitness businesses especially if they can provide proper separation. Don’t kill a small business with a cookie cutter approach.

I have been taking classes at Body Lab for 3 years. The maximum number of students has always been 12 people. I hope you will reconsider their classification.

When operating at full capacity, Body Lab can only fit 12 people in the facility for each class, and only can have one class at a time; they are NOT a large gym, and should not be classified as such. Please allow Body Lab to open on May 4, as other small businesses are allowed to do so.

My “gym” only allows 12 students at a time in each class. This is a small business, not a giant gym.

Proper classification is vital to getting our small businesses back up and running, rather than shuttered.

This studio has small class sizes and a good distance between each member. I believe The Body Lab is a safe and clean environment to work out in compared to many other gyms in the area. I feel comfortable working out here because I know they will keep the studio clean and follow cdc guidelines. It is never over crowded and I feel it is definitely possible to social distance appropriately at this studio. They should be able to open in phase 1.

This is an easy place to stay safe with low #’s and machines far apart.

BodyLab has such small classes with such distance between participants that I would feel more comfortable returning there than many other businesses. Please consider allowing them to open ASA(safely)P.

Boutique gyms can manage exposure and support social distancing. They are also small businesses we need to support.
Open ALL businesses immediately, please!!
