This is a petition in regards to Kaisley Collums who attends Cooper High School in Abilene, TX. Kaisley has been on the Cooper Cheer team for 3 years (1 year on JV and 2 years on Varsity). Kaisley has had no discipline issues in school these 3 years, has passed all her classes each and every semester since she has attended Cooper High School. Kaisley is also attending Holland High to get her CNA this school year. Kaisley has managed to attend Holland, Cooper, work part-time, remain active in her church all while remaining dedicated to the Cooper High School Cheer team. Cooper Cheer had tryouts this past week (Feb 26 - March 1). Kaisley was not chosen to be on the team. She was the only person that has already been on varsity to not make the team. We keep being told “well it is the scores”. So you are telling us that her being on the team is decided from one performance, that is judged by college girls (that had obviously been to the bar the night before by the stamps on their hands, not very professional) is the determining factor? Not the fact that she has been on the team for 3 years, is a main flier and probably your best flier? So she was good enough for the 3 years before.. But now she is not according to ya’ll? Kaisley always puts in her all, she shows up when she is supposed to, and is always willing to help her teammates and coaches out. She works very hard when it comes to cheer, she gave up going to an all paid LVN program next year so that she could be on the cheer team for her senior year.. That is how important being a part of cheer is to her. Her whole team is upset and feels this is wrong as well. There has to be some sort of mistake that has been made. Maybe one of the judges got her number mixed up with another girl? Or she was writing the scores on the wrong girls score card?
There have been several instances where some have broken the rules of the constitution and still been allowed to be on the cheer team, Kaisley has not! Why is she not allowed on even though everyone knows she is good and these 3 “judges” apparently got something wrong? Why is no one doing anything? Why is no one fighting for her to be on this team? What is the real problem here?
This petition will show Cooper High School and Cooper High School Cheer just how many people support Kaisley being put on the team!!!

Someone with this caliber of talent, commitment, responsibility, maturity and loyalty should not be denied. Her passion is clear as is her talent, etc.
She definitely deserves another tryout! The last three years of her cheering definitely should show that she is more than capable of doing what is required of these girls!
I have know her for several years and she has always shone to be great behavior and courtesy towards others. I know she loves cheer and seems to be so dedicated.
I would love to see this sweet girl cheer with her friends her senior year, and I know that they want her there with them too! She is so sweet and talented. She deserves it!
I’ve never seen a more perfect cheerleader. This girl even when it’s not cheer season is always talking about cheer. She’s hard working and determined and deserves a spot on that team.
Make this right! She deserves to be on the team and everyone knows it!

It’s ridiculous to remove her from the team after 3 years. Should not be allowed. Would never happen to a football player that was doing all the right things as she is.
