The residents of the Riverwood National Golf Course community, which is comprised of 150 plus single family homes and townhomes, would like to ask the City of Otsego Minnesota to consider installing a planned trail along Kadler Avenue sooner than the sometime in the future installation but instead in the near future.
The ideal trail path would be south of County Road 39 ultimately to 80th Street. At a minimum, a trail from County Road 39 to 90th Street would be a great start.
The shoulder along Kadler Avenue is heavily used by individuals walking, jogging or biking with destinations of County Road 39, Lily Pond Park, Norin Landing Park or just used for personal fitness and recreation. Kadler Avenue has a speed limit of 45 miles per hour and has a very small shoulder which can make sharing the road a potentially dangerous situation.
Thank you for your consideration.
I am a daily walker on Kadler Ave. and have always thought this is a need for safety. I walk off the road closer to the ditch when a passing vehicles goes by. Some don’t slow down or move over. This would be so great for everyone’s safety.
