Denzel Ward is a very sweet person, always helping out when I needed him. He talked to my son all the time to stay out of trouble and for him to keep his grades up and stay in sports. And that meant alot to me, he don't deserve to be locked up, he served enough time and I know he learned his lesson. He deserves another chance at life.

I, Marva Rice would like to give an good reference for Denzel Ward to be given a second chance on his life. I first of all would like to state how I know Denzel, I watch him grow to be a young teenager whom was raised by a great mother. I also heard the hurt in his mother voice upon calling and explaining what had happen to her son that night.
But Denzel mother Veronica aka Ronnie never give up hope she supported Denzel up into now. Denzel was a young teenager whom I saw sit in courtroom as a scare child. Yes he was a teenager but not understanding the legal aspects and putting trust in his lawyer advice.
Unfortunately the attorney seeming didn’t have the young teenager best interest. Maybe he was just thinking how much money he could make off this client family.
As I sat there in the courtroom at his pre hearing with Denzel not, understanding the legal system my heart hurt for him and the entire family. Denzel a scare juvenile being treated like an adult. That is so unfair and unjustified to treat a young teenager like that.
I feel that given enough chance with life and since have time Denzel have received his GED, his own clothing line and several certificates. And, plus you can check with the bureau about his behavior since the time he have serve to this point. I feel that this case needs to be reheard and accept it in the proper matter. Yes he’s an adult know but let’s rewind it back to the beginning.
And the beginning is with all due respect Denzel was trialed unfair. My heart goes deeply into this situation believe I know how it feels to be judged and set up. There have been several times when they while is the system can’t get who you they want they make an example of the wrong victory.
So I say this is a second chance for whom have an heart re-open this case and resubmit it back to the judge redo that was done wrong the first time.

He's a really good kid. In my opinion he didn't deserve the harsh time that was given. I grew up with him and I know his heart. Evil was not in it! I know he is a changed man from the crowd he was around then. A honest respectable man is who he was/ is.
