I can't believe that more people have'nt signed. I sure they would be sickened if one of their pup's had this awful illness, We need all dog's that carry this gene to stop breeding NOW. Also all reputalable breeders want to know who is safe to use and who isn't. Imformation is a tool here, it must be shared to stop all this shuffering of puppie's dying a painful death.

I am not a Breeder of Boxers but i have owned them for over 30 yrs now. The Kennels who are responsible for this, need to be banned from breeding NOW! They should be held accountable for every JKD coming from their lines!
I am not a Boxer breeder or owner but any breed related genetic disease which causes sufferingor premature deathof dogsand heartache and unnecessary costs to owners should be tackled as a matter of urgency rather than the endless delaysand denials which currently exisits in dogdom

Look at my breed, Cavaliers. to see what happens when no action is taken on inherited health conditions.

If breeders are serious about preserving breeds in good health, they need to assist researchers in preventing the spread of deleterious mutations. Boxers are wonderful dogs and JKD is now positioned to become wide spread amongst them. Authorities in the breed need to take the lead in making every effort to contain JKD. If they can’t do this then we have to question their motives and also ask them to step aside so that others who care more can take control of the situation before it gets any worse.

there should be no reason whatsoever why breeders should not be held accountable for breeding dogs that are defective.

I would think it was paramount to let every breeder have access to a list of all pedigrees that have produced any puppies linked with JKD
