This was not JUSTICE. I understand the laws in Louisiana but those laws are deeply flawed and outdated. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance- especially NONVIOLENT offenders. He is remorseful, he was a kid at the time.

There are things that are right and there are things that are wrong....I feel this is the right thing to do...not just in Justin's case...but many others that fall under the same category being at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Good luck.

I just watched the documentary Serving life. Surely the US government or state of Louisiana can see that this young man has been rehabilitated. He didn't even commit the actual murder. He has definitely served more time that he should have. This is such a sad waste of a good life. Justin eyes alone tell a story of someone willing, eager and capable of being an asset to society. There is just something about him that makes you want to reach out and pluck him from that cold hard world of prison and hug him and tell him he doesn't belong there. Do the right thing and give this man a chance. There are much more horrible people out there getting away with worse.

I'm also helping my husband fight a life sentence in Florida for a murder he did nit commit. His case is very similar to Justin's. Praying for justice for them both as well as many others who are serving sentences for crimes they didn't commit.

I believe that the sentence imposed on Justin for the limited involvement he had in this crime is unjust. It is my fervent hope that it will be quickly rescinded.
