He was quite young; he also did not commit the crime of murder himself and it seems inhumane. He still has the ability to change for the better and be a productive member of society.

I watched the documentary the other night, and I truly believe people can and do change based on their life experiences. Justin made a bad choice and it cost him his life, but the compassion he and the others show towards their fellow inmates should be taken into consideration. He could sit in his cell and waste away, yet he's chosen to give back and make ammends for the things he's done. Man, I'm gonna keep you in my prayers.

Everyone deserves a second chance, I think 20 year would succife, but not a life sentence in his case but then again I don't know the whole story.

So sad that being at the wrong place at the wrong time took away what could've been such a bright future for this man. I hope that these laws will be reconsidered and he and others like him get a second chance at life!

on behalf of Justin, i wrote letters to both State Senators and Governor. and i think i will write send those 4 letters more than the once.... we all should keep doing the same... just like folks that keep walking for Ferguson.... it's them everyday... we need this to be use saying the same thing... everyday... i will doing this for Justin.... it could take monthly... it may take me on his journey weekly... with my same pleading letter.... i'm also sending to our President. I want them to be tired of opening letters from Jimmy Scruggs with the same plea.... to wear them out... come on guys... i challenge the system.... we ARE the people.
