I wanted to clarify why it took me a couple of days to watch Serving Life- it was by far one of the most touching, real stories out there- it brought every single human emotion right to the surface and it just confirms how backwards the judicial system still is. Watching the inmates dying, even humanely was still very difficult and heart breaking. I recommended these to anyone and everyone , especially to those who believe that there is no humanity left on earth. Thank you for sharing yourself with others. Justin and some others should be reevaluated- but truly reevaluated. God Speed to Justin and his family. <3

I found Justin's link on a friend's Facebook page. I read his story as well as watched Serving Life. It took me a couple days to watch the whole movie- it was inspirational and proves that humanity still exists even in a world full of hate and injustice. This law that keeps people like Justin in prison- or sentences those who do not actually commit the murder with life should not exist in the first place. The hospice program is a great way to bring the human heart back to the surface and return it to the way we are all born- and that is to love, need love, and with compassion from both those being cared for and doing the care taking. The Warden in this movie set this up and wouldn't have thought to do so if he too did not know exactly what would happen. Maybe the 4 who the documentary focused on are 4 of the best examples who knows- but either way- if an individual felt they had no hope because they would never be released any way- it seems they would not try to get college degrees, help dying people no matter where they are. The lives that have been lost in the initial crimes will always be gone- but why not allow an individual to give all they have learned back to society and help mentor others from making this mistake prior to them doing the crime. The prison system in America is a large warehouse for human beings and has failed in so many ways. So here is this amazing idea that should be implemented in as many prison settings as possible and see if the recidivism rates go down- those who have no intention of doing better than before they got to prison- will sit back and not care- but those like Justin who was not a career criminal should be given this opportunity to prove this works on the outside as well as the inside of these walls.

i did a little growing up with JG. We were all a little nuts back then but we got out alive. Justin is a good kid and should not be serving life for this. Credit for time served ... Enough is enough.

What an amazing guy! Sentence is far too harsh for the crime. Praying for proper justice.
