His sentence is far too extreme. There has to be a balance between justice and mercy. He was a 19 year old boy. Life is just far too extreme.

A kid in the wrong place at the right time but did not do the crime of murder shouldn't be in prison for life without parole no way.

My daughter and I watched Serving Life last night for the first time. All of these volunteers show just how unselfish they are. Witnessing my Dad go through hospice, there is only one thing to say. Hospice workers whether salaried or volunteering are God's angels. It baffles me how someone who has been given a life sentence yet be so compassionate for another person. Serving life showed the true character of all of those gentlemen. Justin has alot to offer any community. These laws need to be changed or ammended not only to protect victims and their families but more so the inmates with true character and dignity.

I saw Justin's story on Netflix in Melbourne, Australia. How disgusting your laws are!! Obviously a young man has made a poor decision with who to hang out with, but isn't that part of growing up? Yes he should have got jail time but life without parole? What a joke! How is that benefiting anyone? It is cruel and inhumane under the circumstances and he has served his sentence! Let him go! I'm sure he is fully aware of the mistake he made but was too young at the time to know what the consequences were that night. I'm a firm believer of 'you do the crime you do the time' but Louisiana laws are outrageous and cruel in this circumstance. Good Luck Justin and I really hope it works out for you x

I think the time served is fair for the crime! God gives us second chances daily, allow this young man to do so. Reading the facts, opinions and reports online, I truly think it's time he gets a new walk at life. I pray the right thing is done! I'm looking at this from if he were family! As well as if the young man killed were my family. God bless you all. Jamie is why I have given this so much thought! Jamie is a pure person with a huge heart, justin proved my petition is serving life.
