What a very sad story. Read all the headlines and I'm so shocked. This boy (man) can not spend his life in prison, he doesn't belong there for life. I am so thankful I live in Canada. We pride ourselves in being a lot more fair. I sign this petition very willingly. Enough already, that boy deserves to be heard, someone listen.

I understand Justin should have got a punishment for being apart of something horrible that should never had happend, but he was so young and you can not contol others actions. Im sure he just thought that they would get free drugs and life goes on...... well a Life Sentence for it is ridiculous. I get thats the law but they need to have a lighter sentence for the people that just happen to be with the Actual Person Commiting the crime. I hate when this happens to young men and women its just so sad they cant even tru to have a life with family or friends because of one mistake. I really hope they free Justin and give him a chance to be happy with his family.

Im sure he just thought that they would get free drugs and life goes on...... well a Life Sentence for it is ridiculous. I get thats the law but they need to have a lighter sentence for the people that just happen to be with the Actual Person Commiting the crime. I hate when this happens to young men and women its just so sad they cant even tru to have a life with family or friends because of one mistake. I really hope they free Justin and give him a chance to be happy with his family.

I'm watching serving life and it's breaking my heart to see how horrible it is. Justin you are a strong man and have a heart of gold. I'm praying for you and for God to speak to the judges and allow them to see what we all see and to treat you and the others fairly.

Justin has clearly proved that he is remorseful. His sentence is complete bs. A life sentence for just being at the crime scene? Its pathetic. You can tell when people should be given second chances, & he is one of those who should be given another shot at life.

A man can not possibly be his best, nor can he be expected to learn and grow in an environment designed to suffocate the soul. "Corrections" as it stands should attempt to"correct" a behavior, not encourage and teach worse ones. "Rehabilitation" should be something to hope and strive for. A first time offender, who was not even in the literal vicinity of the crime, should not be caged without the possibility of rehabilitation and growth to be a better man. The mandatory law is ridiculous. No wonder our country is in debt. Redesign the obvious!

As a former Correctional and Hospice Nurse, I have to commend this man for the work he is doing. It takes so much out of a person to give all you have to make a person's last days meaningful. To do that in the shadow of his own legal "brick wall" and the emotional toll that must take is is amazing to me. I'm now working in a Psychiatric Emergency Dept. I still feel overwhelmed some days and I'm not dealing with his unfortunate consequences of that fateful night. Praying for you!
