The system has been broken for a very long time. It needs to reevaluate offenders that pose little to no risk to society, one’s that was convicted as juveniles and have served a lengthy sentence already.

Any amount of common sense in the justice system would have gotten this man out of this ridiculous mess he is in.

Louisiana still, and probably always will, practice French and Spanish laws. This is America. Practice American laws. Our justice system is so incredibly ridiculous. There's a huge difference between criminals and people that made a bad choice. And for someone to be sentenced to life in prison with no chance at parole, especially at such a young age, for a crime that they didn't even commit...is absolutely inhumane and unconstitutional. Let's do better America. Quit letting child molesters and pedophiles run free , and allow others to have a second chance at life. Some people can be rehabilitated. This is so sad. Prayers for Justin, and anyone else dealing with the same type of situation.

If he were a danger to society - why is society demanding for his freedom?

I've seen his story many years ago and this man stays in my head with hopes that one day he will be freed.
My heart goes out to Justin are and his family.
This guy should have never been put in prison.
This man should be free. 12 years is enough time.
