On Friday, December 9th, 2011, 27-year-old Palestinian Mustafa Tamimi was murdered by the Israeli army. He was taking part in one of the weekly protests held in Nabi Saleh, which began when an illegal Israeli settlement, Halamish, moved in and took control of the water supply. Mustafa was shot directly in the face, despite Israeli law, which forbids the use of tear gas guns as a weapon; they must be shot at an arc angle. The Israeli army took him to an Israeli hospital, but for some reason, medical treatment was delayed by 2 hours. His family and friends were barred from accompanying him to the hospital due to lack of permits. Mustafa Tamimi died a day later. The funeral was held on Sunday, December 11th, 2011. After the funeral, mourners were sprayed with the usual sewage-like water and tear gas, and they were savagely beat. The provocation for these actions was the demand to know who Mustafa's killer was. None of the protesters were armed.

By signing this petition, you are asking Israel to take action against Mustafa's murderer. By signing this petition, you are asking for a minute fragment of the justice the Palestinians have been so ardently denied.
